“It’s hard to say what we didn’t like, beautiful surroundings, historic building, fabulous staff. So child friendly. Our granddaughter loved taking the teddies to bed with her which were in our family room. Lovely bathroom, great products! Dinner and breakfast outstanding, delicious local produce. Catered for a veggie breakfast instead of full English by adding other ingredients without asking, just fab!

“We’ve been coming to Saplinbrae for a couple of years now for a night away for birthdays or catch ups with family, or even ‘just because’. We keep coming back because we are always made to feel so very welcome and at home.
The staff are so professional and so friendly. The food is always 5-star and can never be faulted. I’m partial to a cocktail, and I’m sure Keith is fed up of us asking for drinks off the menu, but he always delivers and we really appreciate the extra mile he goes to. All in all we think Joanna has achieved perfection so far, in her staff and hospitality, so any changes will just be icing on an already beautifully baked cake.
We wish you even more success in the future - you’ve definitely made regulars out of us.”

“We just wanted to say again how much we enjoyed our stay. It was a bit of a dreich afternoon on Saturday so we spent a couple of hours in the snug bar and were thoroughly looked after by Keith & Megan. Nothing was a problem - even when we asked for drinks off menu.
Our food in the evening and at breakfast was just outstanding...... this is our 3rd visit and things just seem to reach a new level each time. The staff are an absolute credit to the hotel. We’ll be back soon :)”
“The staff are very welcoming and friendly. Check-in is contactless, immaculately clean and comfortable rooms. Restaurant is very good with large portions. I recommend the seafood slate. There is a lovely loch about 10 mins walk from the hotel, great for a walk, fishing and a sighting of the local osprey.”
“We enjoyed a two night stay at Saplinbrae, staying in one of the log cabins. We had a super time and the kids our two young children loved every minute of it. We were made to feel most welcome from the minute we arrived. All staff were very friendly and helpful - nothing was a problem for them; they went out of their way to help us. The lodge was very clean and had everything we could have wished for. We enjoyed a lovely evening meal on the Saturday night in the hotel - the food was delicious and, again, staff were all very attentive. Thank you very much!”
