Our head chef and talented kitchen team put as much love and attention into a simple bowl of soup as they do into cooking the perfect steak. Every dish is created with locally sourced ingredients, including beef and lamb from our own family farms and fish from Fraserburgh and Peterhead.

Dinner is served daily 5pm - 8pm.

Lunch

Saplinbrae is a place for guests and locals alike to enjoy beautiful, honest food, unhushed and unhurried, with views of the stunning Buchan countryside.

Our lunch menu features seasonal dishes crafted from local produce, from renowned Peterhead haddock to Morag’s vegetables from Crimond.

Lunch is Served 12pm - 2.30 Monday to Saturday.

Sunday Lunch

Every Sunday, our kitchen curates a special all-day menu. Featuring our signature Aberdeenshire Roast Beef alongside other locally inspired favourites, Sundays at Saplinbrae is a meal to remember.

Served from 12pm - 8pm

Afternoon tea at Saplinbrae with Ythan sandwiches, mini scones, and fine cakes.

Afternoon Teas

Served on weekends from 3pm - 5pm.

Indulge in our delicious afternoon tea, which includes Ythan Bakery finger sandwiches, savoury chef’s canapés, mini scones with jam and cream, mini meringues, and a selection of home made cakes and "wee fine pieces." All ingredients are sourced with care, showcasing the best of Aberdeenshire. Served with tea or coffee, this is a treat not to be missed.

  • Price: £28 per person (£10 prepayment required upon booking).

  • Booking: Must be booked at least 24 hours in advance.

  • Note: Afternoon tea is not available during the month of December.

Our bar features a carefully curated selection of quality wines, spirits, and beers from independent vineyards, Scottish brewers, and distillers. From Caorunn Gin to Brew Toon beers, each drink is chosen to reflect the best of Scottish craftsmanship.
